A style for every occasion

The Z310i is just a s versatile as you are. Use it as a work tool during the day. Then leave the office, hit the night club and show off with cool light effects and sophisticated key backlight.

The clamshell Z310i is sleek and stylish, thanks to a “jetset black” finish with a white trim. The front of the handset has a glossy, almost mirror like surface that hides a monochrome external display. The display camouflages into the design of the Z310i when not in use, but appears white when activated. Conveniently, the Z310i uses a row of icon indicators above the screen; an arrow for missed calls, a letter for new messages, a lightning bolt for charging and a musical icon for silent mode. The Z310i also includes light effects, and users can also change themes at a specified time; day and night for example.

The Z310i comes with 14 Mbytes of built in memory & with a removable battery. The battery can provide up to seven hours of talk time & up to 300 hours of standby time from a fully charged battery. The Sony Ericsson Z310i can connect to the Internet & comes with an Access NetFront™ Internet browser. The built in Bluetooth® connectivity allows the user to connect their Z310i to any Bluetooth® compatible device & enjoy a wireless connection between devices of up to ten metres apart. The phone comes with a USB connection & infra red connection point which allows the user to connect to other devices which are compatible. The user can download data & transfer information using any of the connective options that the Sony Ericsson Z310i supports. The phone comes with EDGE technology which provides fast data transfer which are approximately three times faster than GPRS. The Sony Ericsson Z310i works over a tri band network which covers GSM 900, 1800 & 1900.

Adding to the striking design is a series of novel light effects that serve to both personalise the phone & allow the user to ¡¥colour code¡¦ their contacts. Simply assign a coloured light to your frequent callers and you will know instantly whether its work trying to reach you, your best friend fixing a date, or your mother calling to invite you to Sunday lunch! It is even possible to set the look and feel of the menu & screen display to match the time of day; a bright theme during the daytime and something more relaxing or subtle at night.

The metal bases, holding the speakers up from a single stud in the rear are well designed, with four long rubber strips underneath each one to prevent slipping across the desk. Despite the stud in the rear, routing cables from the backs of the satellites is incredibly easy thanks to [...]

Creative Gigaworks G500
19 Mar 2010

Within the computer space, speaker technology has developed in leaps and bounds over recent years with companies like Creative, Logitech and formerly Videologic producing speakers that have gained respect, albeit grudgingly, from audio professionals. After all, having a sound card with the processing power of a nuclear station counts for [...]

Hercules XPS 5.1 70
19 Mar 2010

Hercules’ XPS 5.1 70 has a silvery plastic finish that looks a little tacky. At least the low-profile centre speaker fits neatly under a monitor. A solitary bass knob on the back of the subwoofer is the only means of tone control, while a volume knob and headphone socket are integrated into the right satellite. With a [...]

Motorola Razr Maxx
18 Mar 2010

This is not the best RAZR we’ve seen, that honor is still held by the RAZR V3xx. Still, this phone does have a couple of advantages over the AT&T device. First, we like the updated look of the Maxx, it provides a nice evolutionary bridge between this phone and the KRZR. Second, the camera on [...]
