Your essential companion

Everything you need, straight out of the box, to organise your music and synchronise your calendar and contact with your PC.

The W700i uses basically the same chassis as the W800i with the only difference being the colour scheme. The previous model was white and orange but the W700i has a more refreshing and refined titanium gold look. The rest of the unit is exactly the same so it’s still a well designed and easy to use handset. Sony Ericsson has employed a simple but effective button layout with two selection keys on either side of the dedicated Walkman button, back and clear buttons as well as a five-way navigational joystick. The joystick is sometimes difficult to manoeuvre due to its stubby design and may pose a problem to those with large fingers. To support the on-board music player, the W700i includes a play/pause and a volume up/down button on each side of the phone. The latter can be used for both music and voice call volume.

The W700i comes with a 262k colour TFT style screen which works great as a full screen viewfinder when the user is using the built in 2 megapixel camera feature. The camera feature comes with 4 x digital zoom & an integrated flash. The phone comes with very useable picture effects & editors tools to ensure the perfect finish is given to each photo. The user can simply change the camera feature to work as a video feature which can recorder video & stream video. The VideoDJ™ feature allows the user to create a video show by selecting different video clips & then adding sound for a perfect finish. The phone comes with integrated Macromedia Flash Lite™ which ensure that the phone has the best quality menu graphics & animated wallpapers.

There’s also greater potential to expand the storage capacity. As with all Walkman?phones a Memory Stick PRO Duo is included in the box. The W700i comes with 256MB - enough to hold 6 CDs for occasional music listening. But with up to 2GB versions on the market, enough to hold 47 CDs, there is enough music storage available to entertain on even the longest of journeys. W700i comes supplied with high quality headset that plugs into a standard connector, so you can connect a favourite headset of your own if you wish. There are also a full range of plug-in music accessories from small portable speakers to car systems available.
