The music player comes with easy to create music playlists & the user can view original album art on the full colour screen. The user can move their music from their personal computer or laptop to their W660i easily, by simply connecting the devices, choosing the music & transferring the music file. The Mega Bass™ feature provides the user with a bass frequency feature which allows the user to enjoy a superior listening experience on their mobile phone. The TrackID™ feature is a song recognition feature which is simple to use & allows the user to get all the information they need for any song they like the sound of, the TrackID makes music recognition easy for the user. The W660i comes with a MusicDJ™ feature which allows the user to create their own polyphonic ringing tone by using the different sounds & music styles to create the personal ringing tone. The Walkman® phone supports Bluetooth® stereo which allows the user to enjoy a wireless music experience. The phone comes with a built in FM radio with RDS which allows the user to listen to a FM radio station & gain text information on the screen which is provided by the radio station.

Like several of the latest Walkman phones, the W660 features TrackID. If you ever need to identify a piece of music that you don’t recognise, simply record a few seconds of the track, either via the microphone or by tagging a clip straight from the phone’s FM Radio, and TrackID will send the clip to the Gracenote Mobile MusicID database. This quickly identifies the track, the artist and album and relays the information back to your Walkman phone.

The W660i plays music in nearly every digital format except WMA. The included Disc2Phone software will rip your tunes straight from CD to the phone’s 256MB memory. With the phone closed, playback controls are handled by the five-way nav, allowing you to skip tracks, fast forward, and rewind. The MP3 player can create playlists, shuffle songs, and repeat tracks. Airplane mode plays music with the phone off. Battery life lasts around 15 hours (up to 30 hours in music mode only) and Bluetooth connects to a wireless headset, but not wireless headphones. A 1.3-megapixel camera snaps good-looking photos.
