More than meets the eye

You’ll be surprised by what’s packed into this lightweight phone – full messaging, great entertainment, imaging and the connectivity you need.

he K510i comes with a video clip & record feature which is very easy to use. The camera feature can very simply be turned into a video recorder which allows the user to capture all of those funny moments in action. The phone has a picture phone book which allows the user to attach a photo to each contact in the users phone book so therefore instead of the contacts name & number being displayed the chosen photo will be displayed. The picture phone book allows the user to create a very personal phone book. The K510i comes with a picture wallpaper feature, screensavers & animated wallpaper which the user can select their own photos & video clips to create an individual look to their phone.

Stylish without being pretentious, the K510i combines the useful aspects of being compact in size and light in weigh.  The unit measures 101.5 x 44 x 17.5mm and weighs in at 82g.  To turn this phone on/off requires you to press a small button located right next to the infrared port on the top of the unit.  I found this button rather small and a little difficult to press with my stubby fingers but at least it does resolve the problem of accidentally switching the device on/off which was a fault I encountered with a previous Sony Ericsson phone.

It has excellent connectivity with Bluetooth, USB and infrared. The Bluetooth allows you to wirelessly connect to another device with this capability up to 10 metres away, while the infrared connection can only connect on a much shorter range.

The internet connection for this phone is GPRS. This in comparison with others in this price range is below average as many phones have a significantly faster transfer rate with 3G or EDGE.
The battery talk time is 360 hours which is amongst the highest within the mid-range phones. It works on a tri band operating frequency meaning it will work in Europe and America but not in Japan.
